Here are photos of some of my customers. I find it really hard to narrow it down to one photo of each pet!
A friendly, happy chap who was always pleased for company. He was very much an outdoor cat so I was very relieved when he came in for food every tim
Monty was an outgoing and playful boy from the start. I was surprised he wasn’t interested in the degus.
Katie was timid on the initial meeting and the first visit. She soon came to trust me. Gentle unless you were a cat toy.
This was the first time I cared for degus since college. They were adorable! A bit nervous but would come to take food from my hand.
Another fluffy black cat. She was a bit unsure on the first visit and I had to bribe her with treats to come in. After tha, she was my new best friend.
Fluffy kitten! A little purring ball of happiness. Everything she did was at top speed which made me laugh. Very friendly and loved interaction but not a lap cat.
Budgies with the cutest names. Bunji didn’t have a tail but both were friendly. Such lovely little noises and my teenage son enjoyed having them here. (He’s not usually interested in the visitors.)
While the rabbits were here, I ate many meals in the garden with them. Chanel would come and gently nudge my ankle. He also didn’t want to go in at night but was easily bribed with his tea.
Coco and Chanel were two brothers that stayed for nearly three weeks. Coco was dominant – including over me when he didn’t want to go in at night.
A shy cat that hid on the initial meeting so I was surprised that she came out to see me. As the visits went on, she even came to meet me when I went in. She may have been shy, but she still liked to play and purred when she had a fuss.
Libby was a friendly, playful and happy cat. Purring was her normal mode.
Pepsi wanted to give me a run around but she wasn’t fast enough. I didn’t see this as a win… just lucky.
Garfield enjoyed the simple things in life - warm spot, food and drinking water from a puddle.
Rosie was a rabbit who liked her freedom and gave me a good run around. Her mum did warn me but as the visits went on, she was able to outsmart me. Rabbits are very fast and slippery.
An outdoor cat who I’m pleased to say always came in – even if he did prefer me to open the door rather than using his cat flap. He always liked his food.
This little girl was playful with a feisty streak. She was a runt with health problems and I was very saddened to hear that she passed away.
Such a sweet older lady. She loved a fuss and was vocal about what she wanted. I found it very odd (but good) that she wasn’t interested in the rats.
These were two of the tamest rats I’ve seen. They came out when they heard me, were happy for cuddles and soon ran back for food. Each day I gave them a treat or fresh food and they made me laugh taking it away quickly..
I do have a soft spot for Russian hamsters. They can be nippy but this one wasn’t. He was very friendly and came out when he heard me talk to him.
I was sad that Denny and Rosie were very shy and I didn’t see them much. This doesn’t happen very often. They were rescue cats who were happy to see me when I met then with the owners but nervous without them.
